Founded by Gerry Bakx in 1979, Prompt Plumbing has been a family owned and operated business from inception and serving Perth metropolitan areas. Prompt Plumbing has quickly earned a reputation as a plumbing repair company that takes care of the problem on the first call.

Gerry first became involved in the plumbing industry in 1965, in a plumbing company based in Osborne Park. He quickly found himself immersed in residential and commercial repair, remodel and construction plumbing. The company he worked for was known as the company who could solve the problems that no one else could solve.

Gerry has always thought through the plumbing problems he encountered and got the jobs done right the first time. That early experience in Gerry’s plumbing career has coloured his philosophy about service and repair to plumbing services.

In 1979, Gerry had decided to work for himself and was hired by some of the biggest builders in Perth to contract their work. Gerry and his crew of plumbers successfully completed some of the largest multi developments in Perth.

There he honed his skills as a problem solver and gained a reputation for getting jobs done right the first time. Gerry believes it is important that he be intimately involved with the day to day activities of his plumbers. He knows that it is his satisfied customers who have made Prompt Plumbing a success.

His plumbers are well-trained, clean and courteous and committed to making every plumbing call a positive experience for their customer. Gerry insists that everyone who works for him be committed to excellence.
